THE MEDICINE OF MUSIC COMPOSITION COMPETITION 2023

The Medicine of Music Composition Competition aims to inspire creativity, unique ideas, and pioneering spirits. We want to promote creative exploration and the creation of music from a more novel and profound perspective. Through this competition, we hope to broaden the international perspective of music and promote unique talents from around the world.

There are five separate competition age groups that will all be judged separately:

  • 5-8 years old

  • 9-11 years old 

  • 12-14 years old

  • 15-16 years old

  • 17-18 years old

​

This year, the final submissions are due by October 1, 2023.

​

The theme for this year's competition is: Create a piece of music that embodies the feeling of tranquility and you think would bring peace to someone just by listening to it.

COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS

(1) Each entrant is limited to one piece of work and must submit a clear score, which must not be signed with the author’s name or have any marks unrelated to the piece included. The entry should be submitted as a PDF and also include an attached audio file in MP3 or WAV format.


(2) Each entrant must attach 1 recent photo of themselves (added to the application form) and submit their registration and final submission to this Google Form: https://forms.gle/KudseYuXV3smPSjU8.

(3) Any questions should be directed to the email medicineofmusic.competition@gmail.com.

AWARDS

Each winner will receive an official certificate from the Ivy International Education Association and their winning piece will be published and compiled in a collaborative winner portfolio from the competition.

Winners will also have a chance to perform with other international winners.

EXTRA NOTES

The winner will have the copyright to their work.


However, awardees must agree to provide and grant the following rights to the organizers:

  1. The organizer reserves the right to make non-commercial use of the musical score of the winning work and any form of audio-visual production.

  2. The organizers have the right to premiere the winning works and the priority of performance and publication.

  3. The judgment of the jury is a final and irrevocable decision.

  4. The right of interpretation of this constitution belongs to the organizing committee.
